Ø     3 duo-tang folders with pockets and clamps- math (blue) , science/social studies (yellow) and home learning (green) 

Ø     6 #2 pencils

Ø     2 red pens

Ø     1 composition notebook (NO SPIRAL) labeled MORNING MATH

Ø     1  1 ½ blue binder with clear view ( this binder is for Mrs. Pineda as well)

Ø     1 set of 5 tabs (Just one set is needed for the 2 teachers)

Ø     1 rain poncho ( to be kept in book bag)

Ø     1 NON ROLLING book bag

Ø     1 dry erase marker

Ø     1 glue stick

Ø     1 set of highlighters

Ø     1 zippered pencil case ( no boxes)

Ø     1 set of colored pencil or crayons

Ø     1 pair of scissors

Ø     WIDE RULED notebook paper

  Dear Parent(s) or Guardians,

     Welcome to a new and exciting school year!  I will be your child's math, science and social studies teacher. I am looking forward to working with your child to provide him or her with the best education possible.   I will work diligently to ensure my students receive my guidance and
assistance throughout the entire day.

We have a wonderful year ahead of us.  Here are a few of my classroom
expectations.

You can expect me to provide:
1.  A safe and structured learning environment.
2.  High expectations for learning and behavior.
3.  A classroom that values independence, respect and cooperation among children.

I expect that your child:
1.  Do all of his/her classwork and home learning to the best of his/her ability.
2.  Behave in a friendly and cooperative manner towards classmates and adults.
3.  Return completed home learning on the day that it is due.

I expect that the family:
1.  Make sure your child is in school each day on time and ready to work
2.  Provide your child with the sufficient supplies needed to complete work
    appropriately
3.  Feel welcomed to communicate and participate

PLEASE help support the   P.T.A.  by joining it.  The cost is $8.00 per person.  The P.T.A. works very closely with  the teachers and we would appreciate your participation and support.

Grandparent's Day will be on Friday, September 18, 2009.  The forms have gone out.  Grandparents are asked to join the PTA for a  donation of $8.00.

On Thursday  October 29, 2009 is costume day.  Students may dress up for a $ 1.00 donation.  In addition, students are able to bring treats to the class on that day and pass it out to their peers.
