News From Our Classroom!
In Reading, we are studying how to find the meaning of unfamiliar words, using context clues and different prefixes, suffixes, and root words. There are some fun activities planned to give students the opportunity to practice the new skills they are learning. Please remember that students have their new Reading Counts goals. Current grades for Reading Counts will be added the week of November 25, 2010. Grade may reflect zeros if students have made no progress towards their goal. Book Postcard Projects are due Friday, November 12, 2010.
In World Cultures, we are learning how civilizatios were formed. We are learning how geography, trade, and social class played major roles in creating the society that we have today.
