Here is a list of the trick words taught so far. Please reinforce these words with your children. We teach the students to memorize these words as they do not follow our normal "tapping out" rules. Thank you.

Our reading and spelling program, Fundations, is a systematic and comprehensive program that introduces letters, sounds, and words. It also relies on family support to ensure success. Please visit this site often to review the skills and sounds introduced in each unit.
Thank you for your support.

Homework is assigned every day, Monday through Thursday. It may be a reading or language arts worksheet or a math worksheet. The work is always something that is reinforcing skills covered in class. There will never be anything assigned for homework that has not been already been modeled in class. Please remind your child to complete their homework, put their name & number on top, and place it back in their folders each day.
Also, please read with your child each and every day. Take turns, when possible. Talk about what you've read and make predictions about what might happen next. Modeling reading with children is one of the best ways to help them become better readers themselves.
Thank you for the support.
