The art room is in need of some itemes you may have in your trash/recycling at home.  Please think about donating to help strech the art budget and help me teach the children about reuse and recycling in Art.

Paper towels, baby/anti-bacterial wipes, sponges are in CONSTANT need in the art room!

• Pantyhose/knee highs
• Scrap wood 
• Scrap wire
• Magazines & Catalogs- especially Food, Furniture, Fashion, and "boy" themes
• Shoes! The more unique, the better. 
• Old or broken household or kitchen tools (i.e.: wrench, clamp, whisk, potato masher, anything that the kids can't identify is GREAT!)
• Small bud vases
• Artificial Flowers
• Artificial or Play Fruits and veggies
• Embroidery Hoops
• Wine Corks
• Picture frames -  With or without glass. Preferably 8x10 or larger.
• Scrap Matt board, wallpaper, carpet samples, wrapping paper, etc. 
• Clean 5 gallon buckets
• Sheets of plexiglass

I am lookig for parent volunteers this year to help with a few projects. If you think you might be interested in a weekly, monthly, one time, or whenever volunteer opportunity, please let me know! 

Some tasks I could use help with...

~Hanging Art displays - If you can tear and roll tape, you can help

~Classroom Help - 1 teacher +30 kids + 25 lbs of clay + 4 gallons of paint....you get the picture. I would love to have a few classes do some large scale sculpture and painting projects this year, but i can't do it alone. If you would like to volumteer during your childs (or any) art class, please let me know!
