I look forward to a rewarding and happy year for all. I am currently on materinity leave and Mrs. Tera Alexander will be substitue teaching the class until I returen in September.
A quick overview of fourth grade will help you , as a parent to understand expectations. We will read engaging stories, develop and enhanced vocabulary, become skilled in teh different parts of speech, write engaging papers and comprehend our reading and writing in all subject areas. Our day will be spent in and out of whole, small, cooperative and guided reading groups as well as work stations and meetings for discussion and reflection. We will make inquiries and discoveries using many technology tools.
Your child will also have the opportunity to have many specials throughout the week. Music, PE, Library and Computer class will be on different days of the week for 30 minutes each. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in choir this school year.
Fourth grade is an important year for your child's learning. That's why we plan to have fun and learn alot!
