4th Quarter MI Project

Social Studies Volume 1 - 4 Project

Name: ___________________________

Animal/Type of early man/Tribe/Civilization and Time period:

_____________________________________________________________

This project is based upon using the multiple intelligences. Each of these intelligences has several activities listed underneath it. Students will pick five of these activities to complete. One activity is due per week and each is worth 25 points. When students pick an activity they will also be assigning which week it is due. By the end of the first class, due dates will be written next to their choices and their sheet will be copied so both the teacher and the student know the due dates, and research will begin.

Work is expected to be completed at home. There may be some class time to work on your item, but advance notice will be given if that is the case so don’t count on it! Keep in mind that some weeks are “short weeks” so more work will have to be done at home those weeks.

At the end of this project students will be presenting their findings to the class sharing all of their activities and information learned. They will have to prepare a short (3-4 minute) speech about their topic (animal/ group of people) to share. This will also be graded and will also be worth 25 points. Thus, this project will be worth 150 total points
