Animal Studies
First quarter, the students will be completing a unit on animal studies, in which they investigate, compare and contrast, different habitats and what all organisms need to survive. The class presently has an Eastern Box turtle, and two Red-Eared Slider turtles that they care for. As part of their studies, they will create and maintain habitats for dwarf frogs, fiddler crabs, and land snails. Emphasis will be placed on the careful scientific observation and recording of data, and the appropriate handling of living creatures.
