Welcome to third grade!
Hello and welcome to third grade. My name is Mandy Gunter and I will be your child's third grade teacher. This will be my twenty- first year in the classroom. This will be my first year at Bayou View Elementary , and I am so excited to be part of your Bayou View family.
I am also a parent of a fourteen year old. I believe strongly in parent/teacher communication. I understand how important it is to be active in your child's education. I use several forms of communication that I find to be very helpful. Your child has a planner inside their binder. This planner contains homework, a daily behavior analysis, upcoming news and events, and any extra notes or reminders that I feel are important. I will initial this daily and I ask that you also initial this binder each night. This way I know you are aware of your child's daily performance.
My school email is mandy.gunter@gulfportschools.org . I check my email several times a day. My email is the best way to get in touch with me. I will respond as soon as I can each day.
