Biography presentation method final decision is due Tuesday, 1/19.

Biography reading should be complete. Limited classtime will be offered to work on your final day presentation, but you must bring your own supplies to class.  The assignment sheet is posted on this site if you have misplaced it. It must be turned in for credit when you do your presentation.

Your GHS library book must be renewed by 1/22 or you will be charged a late fee. You must have your book for your presentation on 1/26 or 1/27.

Finals:  You will have a multiple choice final, your semester reflection letter, and your biography presentation. The presentations will be on the day of the final. Periods 1 and 2 on Tuesday 1/26. Period 3 on Wednesday, 1/27.

Short Story unit continues: plot, setting, conflict. We are now adding tone, paraphrasing and have explored time sequencing/frame, especially flashback.

The short story, The Pedestrian, by Ray Bradbury, will focus on characterization and setting, utlizing flash forward.

Grammar practice continues with D.O.L

Sophomore syllabus

Friday, September 4: Be prepared to introduce the classmate you interviewed on Thursday, Sept 3. Use the interview form that was provided. You may use your notes for the presentation and the notes will be turned in for class credit.

Tuesday: literature rectangle. Be ready for your reading group questions and sharing/discussion. Day No Pigs will have a quiz today. Children's Books illustration work time and finalizing your publication plan.

Wednesday: Glossary work and reading time

Thursday: Children's book clean up and finalizing time. Reading time

Friday: Literature rectangle and finalizing details of title, cover, binding, illustrations, glossary, etc of your book. Book must be completed and turned in on Monday.
