Our focus this year will the be different regions of the United States.  However, before we begin our first region we need to revisit our U.S. Government.  September will be devoted to reviewing the branches of government, learning about citizenship, and we will introduce the Census that will take place in 2010.

We are learning all about geography during the month of October.  We begin with basic geography terms - a copy of these terms can be downloaded from Files.  I expect there will be a quiz over these terms October 20th.

The students will also be learning about different kinds of maps, latitude and longitude and GPS.
