This year's focus
Our Religion curriculum focus this year is Old Testament study. Our Blest Are We text refers to the year as a Great Bible Expedition! The wonderful Old Testament people (our faith ancestors) and stories (our faith history) will be read about, discussed, presented in skit form and cherished. One aspect that is different but rewarding is a connection between each OT person studied and a New Testament person who is comparable.
(By way of example, we learn of Abraham in chapter one, who is compared to Mary. The comparisons point out how God's promises continued (and continue) to be fulfilled beyond Old Testament times.)
Follow along with us this year by watching for the Family Page to come home in the white envelope and by asking your child, "What was Religion class about today?"
