Teacher Profile
When I first left school I studied a diploma in Business communications. I enjoyed it so much that I next studied a BA in English and communications through UNISA. Once I had completed my BA I decided I wanted to specialise in education and so completed my Postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE). During this time I worked as I desktop publisher. While studying my teaching certificate I worked as a computer teacher for grades 3-7 at Sharonlea primary. After three years, I wanted to have my own class and do class teaching. I moved to Summit primary where I taught Grade 4. When my fiancé got transferred to Cape Town in April 2008, I moved with him. I started at Chesterhouse in May of 2008 as a substitute Year two teacher. In December I was offered the permanent year 2 post. I have loved my time at Chesterhouse and look forward to many more years. My interests are photography, scuba diving, traveling and all crafts.
