Homeroom Class

Welcome Back to School

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

I am very excited about this school year!!! 3rd/4th grade advisors have planned some great field trips. We will work continuously to provide the best placements for Math and Reading. Within our advisory, I will work diligently to provide interesting lessons, while maintaining high expectations. I am a firm believer in the sentiment that "it takes a village" and feel that it will take effort from all of us to make this a successful school year. I look forward to working with all of you. I try to keep my Advisor Webpage up to date so this is a great way to keep up with important dates. Current events are due each Tuesday. Please review the Project Packet that I have provided. If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at:

Projects - A Letter from Ms. Lauver

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians

We have just completed our second round of projects.

I thought that everyone understood what was expected of the projects,

I did send home project packets, at the beginning of the year for parents to review.

But there still seems to be some misunderstandings and I would like to

clear them up before the next project is due.

GREAT LEADER PROJECT due 12/14.

Mondays are meant to be project days.  All 5 weeks allotted to project should

be spent researching topic, writing report, developing a creative project,

completing all of the required paperwork, including bibliography

and practicing presentation.

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!

Students who wait until the last minute to complete projects are not knowledgeable about their topic and produce inadequate projects…

This will affect grades, as 2 grades are given per project.

The following must be included by due date:

PROPOSAL

PROJECT

WRITTEN REPORT

- at least 1 page typed or 2 written

BIBLIOGRAPHY

PROJECT CHECKLIST

PROJECT REFLECTION

LOG OF TIME SPENT

(Note cards are not required, but are helpful to student during presentation,

Since they will not be allowed to read report)
