FREE Tutoring

Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) offer FREE after school tutoring in all levels of math on Wednesdays at 2:25pm in Room 1024.

The IB upperclassmen (juniors and seniors in advanced classes) is offering FREE after school tutoring in all subjects, including math, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:25p in Room 1205.

**Students who attend any of the Math tutoring sessions and get help will receive extra credit points each time.  Make sure to get a receipt signed by teacher (except from Room 1024) and to turn it in to Ms. Kuruc immediately in order to receive the credit.

REQUIRED Daily Supplies

  1. Three ring binder with two dividers: (1) Class Notes and (2) Homework
  2. Pencil case including
    1. At least 2 pencils with erasers
    2. Red pen or pencil
    3. Separate eraser
    4. Blue pen
    5. Highlighter, preferably yellow
    6. Calculator
  3. The class policies in front of your notebook at all times

Assignments

  1. All work necessary to get the answer must be shown, neatly, step by step, in pencil.  Appropriate diagrams must be drawn.  Please do NOT tell me that “you did it on another paper”!!!
  2. All work assigned must be attempted.
  3. All work must be checked and corrected in red.
  4. Any work handed in must have NAME, DATE, CLASS, PERIOD, & ROW in the top right hand corner in pen.
  5. You are responsible to keep a log of assignments, in your binder on the form given to you.
  6. When you are out, you must get the assignment via class website (www.schoolrack.com/kuruc/), email (ykuruc@dadeschools.net), or on the following SCHOOL day.  The assignment MUST be done for the next class.  For example, if you miss a Monday class, you must get and do the assignment BEFORE we meet on Wednesday.

Textbooks

This is just a reminder that if you prefer to have your textbook "on-the-go", bring in a flash drive and Ms. Kuruc will copy the entire textbook onto it.  Please make sure you there is about 110 MB of available space on the drive.
