End-Of-Course (EOC) Assessments

Starting in 2010-2011, all incoming 9th graders and/or students enrolled in Algebra I will be taking the End-Of-Course (EOC) Assessment INSTEAD of the 9th grade FCAT Math.

The EOC will be administrated May 16-27 and will be computer-based.  Students will be allowed to use a 4-function calculator, which will be provided.

Ms. Garrido, one of our teachers, used to work in Virginia where they have been using End of Course exams for Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.  They would prepare the students by having them practice on older released tests.  I don't know how close Florida's EOC's will be to these, but here is the link to check them out.
