English 12 : World Literature
In this Senior World Literature course, we will explore the works and lives of authors throughout the world and throughout history - from ancient Greece and Rome to contemporary times. We will study the important societal characteristics of selected time periods, and how living during these times and affected the lives of authors and the literary works that resulted. In addition to novels, short stories, poetry and plays, we will analyze and interpret works of art, examples of the mode of media of the times.
