- 6A will be going on our first field trip on Monday, October 3rd to the Brookfield Zoo! The trip costs $3 and persmission slips are due to Excel teachers ASAP! Looking forward to a roaring good time on our trip! :)

Students on 6A will now be able to order books through the Scholastic Book Club. There are two ways to order the books: (1) turn in an order form and money to Mrs. McMahon or (2) order online at Scholastic Book Club for Parents. Ordering online is now even more rewarding than ever! Every time a parent orders a book online, our class earns $3.00 towards building our own classroom library. About Mrs. McMahon
I teach Language Arts, Literature Studies, and have an Excel class on the 6A Team. This is my 8th year teaching at Heritage at the middle school level. I absolutely love teaching reading and writing and working with young adolescent students. So, I feel I have the greatest job in the world!
Reading and writing are woven into every aspect of our lives. Therefore my goal this year is to see all of my students gain a love for reading, a curiosity for language, and the ability to effectively communicate their thoughts, feelings, and opinions in writing. I have high expectations for my students, and believe that each and every one of them are capable of greatness!
