This year I will be starting my 19th year of teaching in elementary education. I have taught 4th Grade for most of my teaching career.

I grew up in a small town south of Breckenridge, called Marrietta, MN. I attended college at Southwest State University in Marshall, MN. I received my Master's Degree from St. Mary's University in Mpls. My first teaching job was in Farmington, MN. I lived two blocks away from the Minnesota Zoo, which was really exciting when the tiger broke out!

After getting married, I moved to Fergus Falls. My husband works for New Horizons. He is a regional manager of elevators which includes: Fergus Falls, Chokio, Morris and is based out of Herman, MN.

We have 3 boys, Derek is in 7th grade, Reece 5th, and McClain is starting 1st. "

Baxter is our dog and in addition we have our fish and a hamster.

Having experienced our own children in middle school and elementary levels, it gives me great compassion and respect for parenting and a good understanding for what takes place before and after "4th Grade" in a child's development.

Outside of school my interests are family related activities, (16 hours a week at ball parks this summer and now football 3 days a week!) as well as time on our lake, gardening, scrapbooking and running. (Yes, I do like to exercise....I exercise to eat!
