Assignment Book Information

READING:   We worked on vocabulary.  November Scenario is due Friday.  3 days to our November AR goals.

 SPELLING: Tests taken.  They have not been corrected yet.

MATH:   Worksheet on multiplication, is due on Friday.  Timed tests daily.  Ask your child how they are doing.  4 people have passed all 9 multiplication tests!!!!

LANGUAGE ARTS:  1 paragraph on the Mayflower is due Friday.

SCIENCE: ART:  The two sections of brown paper with the drawing of the Mayflower ship/cutaway map.  We will finish this on Friday.

SOCIAL: Test is Monday on the Northeast states and capitals.   Word finds due 11/25(they don't have to be finished this is to do when all other work is done)  Textbook  147-154. Homework: Population map and key are due Friday p. A14 

OTHER:

CONGRATULATIONS!!  to the 100% HOMEWORK CLUB for The First Quarter:  Sydney H, Morgan L, Johnny M,and Maggie!  They received a $1.00 and certificate to be used at our class store.

Congratulations to Johnny, Mason,Morgan, Jordan  for being the first to  pass all the multiplication timed test 2-9.  They received gum and a gum pass for the day!

Keyboarding:  We will be using www.typeonline.co.uk web site for keyboarding now.  Children may access this at home for free. Two other web sites to try would be www.freetypinggame.net    www.typingtest.com

Evaluation

Students are evalutated on a quarterly basis. Parents also receive a mid-quarter Needs Accessment report between grading periods.

Teacher evaluation of classroom progress includes the following types of activities: student participation, grades, projects, graded reports, graded quizzes and graded tests.

 

Enrichment


In addition to regular classroom instruction, students will be exposed to: videos, maps, transparencies, field trips, media center, computer lab, and special speakers.
