Mr. Peterman's Biography
I am a Gulfport native. I graduated from Gulfport High School in 1987. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi, worked abroad and received a bachelor of fine art (BFA) degree from Mississippi State University in 1996. I began teaching art at the middle school level at Bayou View Middle and Gulfport Central Middle schools in 1997. I have been teaching soley at Bayou View Middle School ever since. In May of 2007, I received a Master of Education degree from William Carey University. I have served our school in numerous ways over the past fourteen years: Builder's Club sponsor (community service club - 1999-2003), assistant football coach (2000-2006, 2008-2011), yearbook sponsor (2006-present), elective team leader (2007-present), and now the head coach for Gulfport High School swim team .
I am proud to say that I am from Gulfport, I teach in Gulfport and that I have that Viking Pride!
