This week in…
Reading/Language Arts – We will begin our end of the year assessments for reading, writing and math.
We will be having our Unit 16 quiz for vocabulary workshop on Tuesday. (The last of the year)
Math – We will continue working through chapter 10, plane shapes in motion. There will not be a test on this chapter.
The “Getting Ready for Grade 4” section of the math practice book will be sent home when we are finished with the book. This is great practice for the summer to keep your child’s brain working! Also, please be sure your child is practicing his/her math facts over the summer.
Science – The students did a great job presenting their inventions. I was very impressed with their hard work and creativity. Mrs. Daniel’s 2nd graders enjoyed it too!
Social Studies – The students have enjoyed learning about ancient civilizations. We are making a learning log which is a book where students can write down information or draw pictures of things they found interesting in the lesson. We will also be doing some activities to go along with the different civilizations.
Bible – Our last Bible quiz of the year will be on Tuesday which is lesson 29. The Bible verse is John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” I will be doing this verse orally with each student.
We will be doing daily devotions for the remainder of the school year.
