Welcome back to school. I am very excited to be your Fifth Grade teacher for the 2010-2011 school year. Since I will be spending a great deal of time with your children for the next 10 months, I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I graduated with honors from the University of Memphis with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in December 1993. In July 1999, I received my Master’s Degree in Supervision and Administration through Trevecca Nazarene University. I also am a certified Personal Fitness Trainer. As you can see, I enjoy going to school, and I am always eager to learn new and exciting ideas to use in our classroom. My teaching experience includes 17 years teaching grades 1, 5, and 7. I have taught both in the regular classroom and the gifted classroom.
My husband Steve and I have five children and live in Covington. Tyler - 21, Bailey - 18, Twins Hannah and Logan - 17, and Aubrey Rose - 9. Without a doubt, our family is our pride and joy, and we love spending as much time with them as we can.
Some of my favorites:
Hobbies: Running, working out, reading, spending time with family
Places to Eat: Home, Mexican
Places to Shop: Target, Walmart, Second-hand stores
Things I love: my family, hot tea, a long run with my iPod, and those rare quiet moments alone.
