****Library books due Thursday 5/16 (tomorrow)
Library Books:
-beginning this week we will be taking our library books home with us for the week.
-the children have learned the 4 rules of library responsibility
We will take care of our books by:
* turning the pages at the top
* keeping our hands clean when using our books( no snacks or drinks during book time)
* not bending our books
* finding a special place in our home where our books will stay so that we will know where they are when it's library day!
This week in Pre-K :
*Letters Ss & Tt
*sight words of the week: Beginning this week one -two words will be placed on the board for the entire week highlighted in "red".(Sight Words are high frequency words that occur in written text- we will be following the Pre-K/K list of words)
sight words this week : me, up, down,it, look, three, I, a,big, blue
REVIEW:
Telling Time Unit:
we will learn.....
-parts of the clock (numbers, minute hand, hour hand)
- practice time on the hour (1 o'clock, 2 o'clock etc.)
-children will have the opportunity to use individual model clocks to practice
- hop around the clock song and activity on our small trampoline
UPDATED!!!! We have now learned how to tell time on the half hour
Pre-k report cards are sent home twice a year Fall and Spring semester. Progress Cards will go home mid to late March
