Keys to success

When completing ANY assignment or test, you should always begin with this question:

What is the purpose of this assignment or test? (what am I showing, explaining, demonstrating, etc. here?) If this is NOT clear, you should ask (asking sooner rather than later will save you the hassle of doing it over if you don't understand why you're doing it)

If, for example, you are writing a Canadian History test, the purpose might be to show how much you have learned about Canada's role in WW1.

If you are completing a project, the purpose might be to show how well you understand a particular topic or idea.

ALL projects, tests, assignments etc. are based on OUTCOMES, that is, things that you should be learning in a particular course.

Understanding WHY you are doing something is the first and MOST IMPORTANT  step to doing it well. If this is not clear to you, ALWAYS ask!
