Jedi Challenge Rules

Parents and Students,

In an effort to encourage students going above and beyond what is required in the classroom, we have a Jedi Challenge.  Students can visit my website to find activities which they may research in class or at home.  In order to complete each activity, students must present their new knowledge to me.  They can attempt their challenges at lunch, recess, study hall, or any other times when we are not involved in a lesson together.

Just as a Jedi must progress through stages in order to become a Jedi Master, the students must also pass through certain stages to be recognized as Jedi Masters in our class.  Students will start their journey as a Youngling. Once they have completed 15 challenges, students will graduate to Padawan.  After completion of 25 challenges, the students will graduate to Jedi. Completion of 40 challenges will earn a student the rank of Jedi Master.

We will have a Jedi Challenge wall in our classroom.  All students who master challenges will be recognized on our wall, in an effort to encourage others to participate.  There are challenges available in both Science and Social Studies.  I encourage both parents and students to work together and go above and beyond the average 4th grade curriculum, and become more than the average 4th grade student.

May the Force be with you!
