Children learn in many different ways. They deepen their understanding by plaing, talking, observing, planning, questioning, experimenting, testing, repeating, reflecting and responding to adults and to each other. They encounter new experiences and are encouraged to explore and understand them in order to extend their skills, develop their confidence and build on what they already know.
The foundation stage curriculum underpins all future learning by supporting, fostering, promoting and developing the child's:
- personal, social and emotional wellbeing
- lanuage and communication
- mathematical development
