Welcome to counselor's corner. I hope to make this site an informational blog which one can find things that are upcoming, ongoing and finalized involving your child and Granger ISD.
Currently we are working on making sure all transcipts are updated and correct. Your child will get a copy of the transcipt for you and your child to look over and check to see if something is missing. We pull report cards from earlier years to confirm credits, but this is a time consuming activity and we could miss something, so we ask for your help.
Senior students will be applying to colleges and trade schools very soon. This is a great time to sit down with your senior and discuss their future. As soon as we can, we will have Temple college here to present financial information and also college registration.
All other students will be starting or updating a 6 year plan. The state of Texas requires that all students have a plan that contains course plans from the 9th grade through two years of college. We are planning to have students plan from 6th grade through 2 years of college so that we can assure that Career and Technology classes that best suit their plans are made available during their high school years.
School is off to a great start and we hope to serve your child in the best way possible.
