K-5 Physical Education Rules

K-3 Physical Education Rules

Each student will begin with 5 points per day for each class meeting.  The points earned will be added at the end of each semester and divided by the total amount of points that should have been earned during the semester.

Rules:

1.      All students are expected to participate (No exceptions unless a note from the doctor).

2.      Keep hands, feet and words to yourself.

3.      Keep feet on the ground.

4.      Cartwheels and flips are not allowed.

5.      Hanging on the basketball rims is not allowed.

6.      Laughing and teasing students is not allowed.

7.      Call students by given names only.

8.      Chewing gum is not allowed.

9.      Eating candy and food of any type is not allowed.

Consequences:

1st offense – The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to count to 100 (25 for Kindergarten).

2nd offense – The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to count to 200 (50 for Kindergarten).

3rd offense – The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to count to 300 (75 for Kindergarten).

4th offense – The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to stay in the circle or wall.

5th offense – The student’s parent will be contacted by teacher.  If the issue cannot be resolved, the principal will be asked to have a meeting with the teacher, parent, student and principal.

Each time the student goes to the circle or wall, the student will lose a point.  The 4th offense will keep the student from losing all 5 points. 

4-5 Physical Education Expectations

Each student will begin with 5 points per day for each class meeting.  The points earned will be added at the end of each quarter and divided by the total amount of points that could have been earned during the quarter. A letter grade will be placed on your report card.

 

Expectations:

1.     Participate.

     All students are expected to participate. (No exceptions unless there is a note from the doctor). 

     If you sit out, a written assignment will be given.

2.     Respect Personal Space.

       Keep hands, feet, and words to yourself.

       Come into class in an orderly manner.

       Leave class in a way that shows respect to other classes.

3.     Heads Up at All Times.

       Watch the game so you don’t get hurt.

       Keep your feet on the ground. Cartwheels and flips are not allowed unless we are in a tumbling unit.

4.     Respect the Equipment.

       Replace equipment after you are done using it.

       Use the equipment the correct way.

       Hanging on the basketball rims is not allowed.

5.     Respect Other Students.

       Treat others as you want to be treated.

       Help others. You might need help some day.

       Laughing and teasing other students is not kind.

       Call students by given names only.

6.     Respect the Play Area.

       Chewing gum, and eating candy and food of any type is not allowed in class.

       Keep your paper in your pockets until you go inside.

       Pick up trash you see on the playground.

7.     Respect Yourself.

       Show pride in yourself.

       Be self-responsible.

       Act in a positive way all the time.

       Control your temper, tempers make you look bad.

       Follow the teacher’s directions

 4-5 Physical Education Consequences:

1st offense

The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to count to 100.

2nd offense

The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to count to 200.

3rd offense  

The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to write a 5 sentence paragraph with complete sentences. The parent will be contacted.

4th offense  

The student will be sent to the circle or wall and be asked to write a 5 sentence paragraph with complete sentences. The parent will be contacted. A referral will be written.
