Physical Education Curriculum

Welcome to Physical Education. We will learn many exciting games and participate in many activities that will be both challenging and fun.

These are examples of the activities that we will engage in during physical education this school year: basic social skills and concepts, chasing, dodging, fleeing, educational dance, volleying, weight transfer balance, jumping, landing, locomotor activities, dance, dribbling with hands, kicking, punting, throwing, catching, striking and track and field activities.

The Physical Education Program is designed to develop the mental, emotional, physical, and social aspects of living necessary for a happy and productive life.  Students are introduced to the fundamentals of team and individual sports, which include skills, rules, and game strategy, as well as physical fitness.  Emphasis in the program is placed on providing an opportunity for individual growth and success.

Details of specific activities are contained in daily lesson plans.
