Science is one of the most interesting topics of study in fourth grade. We will be doing lots of hand's on activities, in class projects, and experiments. During this first six weeks, the most important topics of study for your child will be the plant and animal cell, photosynthesis, and metamorphosis. These are all heavily tested on TCAP.
We certainly built some interest plant and animal cells thanks in great part to you. I appreciate all of the supplies that were sent in, especially the last minute jell-o moms. The next in class project for science will be terrariums, which we will work on Friday, September 5th. Students will need a 2 liter bottle as well as some things they can collect from nature. I will try to get pictures of the students posted to the website. They always have a great time getting dirty!
