Reading - I am happy to announce that the beginning of the year testing is over. I was very impressed with some of the scores that we had in this class. Reading groups have been organized and students are doing very well in class with this. During the first six weeks, we will emphasize author's purpose, genre, and sequence. We always read the story in class at least once, but I would strongly recommend that students reread the week's selection on Thursday night in order to be prepared for the selection test on Friday.
Spelling - We will have Spelling tests on Fridays. The spelling lists have been sent home for the entire six weeks, (five tests followed by one week off). The lists are also available on the website under uploaded files if needed.
