I completed my undergraduate work at Piedmont College. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2001.
In August of 2002, I received my Masters Degree from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education.
I completed my Specialist Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision at Lincoln Memorial University in July 2006.
This is my ninth year teaching First Grade at Jefferson Elementary School. I worked here as a paraprofessional for four years while I was finishing my degree. All of my experience has been at the first grade level.
I am married to my wonderful husband Jeff and we have two great daughters. Our oldest daughter Kassie is in high school at JHS and cheers for the Dragons! Our youngest, Bonnie Kate, is almost 15 months old and keeping us busy exploring!
I am from Crown Point, Indiana, which is in the Northwest corner of the state (about 30 miles from Chicago). Most of my family still resides in Indiana and I love to take advantage of the opportunity to visit them on our school breaks.
I love to travel and spend time with my family. We enjoy sports and camping. We love going to watch Kassie cheer at football games and her competitions.
