BVMS Choral Department

Six students from BVMS attended Mississippi's Lakeshore Choral Camp in Morton, MS this past June.  They represented BVMS very well!  I attended this camp with the students.  We had a blast!!  The students participated in rehearsals for almost 8 hours a day!!  Each evening concluded with a night of fun including karaoke night and a dance.  The week concluded with a concert by both the middle school and high school camp choirs.  The concert was fantastic!  I am pleased to announce that our very own, Anna Knapp, was selected from 70 other middle school students to receive a scholarship to return to camp next summer!  Congratulations, Anna! 

Thank you to all of the young ladies who auditioned for girls choir.  It is so exciting the see and hear the "buzz" that is going around BVMS about Choir.   I am proud of each of you for having the courage to audition for this group.  Click on the link below to see the results.  We will begin rehearsals next Thursday, September 3 until 5:00 pm. 

Girls Choir Results

Congratulations to Serena Bennett, Fallon Brown, Josh Heinrich, and Taylor Lavender for being selected to the Mississippi Elementary All-State Honor Choir.  These BVMS sixth graders were selected from 350 fifth and sixth graders around the state.  We are very proud of these students!!!

Rehearsal will begin again on January 7.  Note the time change.  Girls Choir will now end at 4:30!
