Mr. Joseph
This is my eigth year in the district, I taught five years at Freedom and three at Heritage. I attended Hersey High School in Arlington Heights where I wrestled, played football, baseball, and track for four years. After high school I headed west to Iowa and went Loras College where I wrestled also for four years. During the winter months I coach wrestling at Elk Grove High School. At Heritage I love participating in fitness activities and promoting a healthy lifestyle. I will also be coaching boys and girls sports here at heritage. In my free time I enjoy taking our dog Lincoln for runs.
Ms. Colborn
I graduated from Freeport High School where I played Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. I have been a Physical Education teacher here at Heritage since I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2005. I received my Masters in School Administration at Concordia University in the summer of 2011 and strive to take on a leadership role in our school. This year I have had the honor of becoming our X-Team Leader and Co-Athletic Director. I am very excited to take on these new challenges. I have had the pleasure of teaching such energetic, diverse, enthusiastic, and enjoyable students here at Heritage for many years. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a Physical Education teacher. I love working with children and staying active. I have been involved in sports my entire life and could not imagine a more fitting occupation. Along with Athletic Director I am also a volleyball coach and love bonding with the students outside of the classroom. I have really enjoyed my years here at Heritage and look forward to many more great experiences.
Mr. Miller
I am from Boone Iowa and this is my first year at Heritage. I went to school at the University of Iowa and got my B.S. in Health, Sport Studies, and Liesure. I then moved to Oak Park, IL and attended Northern Illinois University and got my B.S.Ed. in Physical Eduacation and Health. Before coming to Heritage I have worked at a Health Club as an Operations Manager overseeing all aspects of the club. In my free time I like to run, workout, walk my dog, and cheer on my favorite althletic teams. I currently coach basketball at Heritage and Track & Field at Oak Park River Forest High School. I am very excited to teach a subject that I am very passionate about.
