Meet Mr. Carrington
This is my fifth year at Madison Accelerated Middle School and I am excited to lead another exciting and meaningful year of discovery and exploration.
I have completed the Masters in Educational Administration degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and will fulfill the role of Head Teacher at MAMS.
For the six previous years I had taught at Glenside Middle School in Glendale Heights, Illinois.Before that time, I was an industrialist in the chemical manufacturing industry.
In my free time I like to read, walk, bike, garden, play the banjo, and read some more! My favorite music is Carribean and 80's soft-rock.
My favorite recommendations for reading are four by Malcolm Gladwell: What the Dog Saw, Tipping Point, Outliers, and Blink.
I have two children:
Chris has graduated from the University of Notre Dame and is pursuing a doctoral degree in political science at Duke University.
Kevin has graduated from the University of Illinois with his engineering degree and is employed as a research engineer at ITW.
My vison for my students is to guide them toword embracing their purpose for learning, in becoming invested in making themselves a stronger learner
and in finding their passion as a student in growing every day!
