Last updated August 14th, 2009 at 3:27 a.m.Strange as it may seem (for my generation), most college students nowadays see school and school work as tedious and boring. I've been in school as a student for 25 years now (starting from Kindergarten to Graduate School) but I've never felt that school is boring. For me, school is always fun. In fact, I am planning to study Interior Design 2 years from now.
In my observation, most college students feel that school is tedious and boring because of the amount of school work that they have to do everyday as well as the "usual" classroom stuff that they do (lectures, reports, assignments, quizzes...). The challenge for college teachers is to look for activities that are exciting, challenging, and fun!
One of the ideas that came to mind is internet access to school work and information for my students. This idea is common in countries like the US but it is quite a novel idea for schools here in the Philippines.
So, this class site is just a start. Hoping for more fun things to come. :)
