I have wanted to be a teacher my whole life. I taught first grade for 2 years at St. Rose of Lima School. This is my second year teaching 2nd grade at St. Joseph School. I am excited for another great year! I grew up in Bel Air, MD and I recieved my Bachelor's Degree from Neumann College in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education in 2006. I earned a Master's Degree from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland as a Reading Specialist in 2008. I enjoy teaching, watching the Ravens, shopping, scrapbooking, reading, and going to the movies.

I am the proud "parent" of two puppies, Teddy and Moe.

On December 12, 2009, my fiance and I will be married at St. Joseph Church at 11:00am and I will be Mrs. Smythe. I am excited to share this special event with the children I have taught and will teach this year
