This is a special request for wipes.  We do have several weeks left of school and we are out of wipes.  The children use these daily for their hands and desk clean up. Thanks in advance for your help.

Weekly news

Our new story that we are working on is ,"Happy Fall" .The word list will be in the angel books on Monday.  We are targeting sound patteerns ou, and ow. 

The new word list for Spelling will be in the Angel book. Please don't forget to print the words during the week for homework.  Spelling test this Monday 4/23/12

 

 

 Language Arts -(Always)We will be working on good sentenses  and  special marks at the end of the sentence. ? ! Begin each sentence with a capital letter. Please practice doing sentences at home for better sentence structure and complete thoughts.  The children can print the sentences that you dictate to them.  Use the reading and spelling words for practice.

Our new lesson this week will be on adjectives.(color word and number words).  We are also working on synonyms and antonyms

Math   We are working on measurements. (cups, quarts, pints, gallons, etc.)

 Religion 

We will continue the family life series this week.

General Reminder

 

KEEP READING THIS JUST AS A FRIENDLY REMINDER!

  Please no lunches in the backpacks

 The children need a healthy snack every day.  Some ideas are as follows: carrots, fruit, pretzels, veggies, crackers, cheese, yogurt.

 No chips, cookies, cakes, muffins  are allowed for a healthy snack, but these snacks can be eaten during lunch time.

We will also eat the above snacks on a special day -Birthday and Student of the week.

Other Important Facts

*Towel to use during lunch time to cover our desk (a must)

*Healthy snack also required on hot lunch day. 

*Don't forget three sharpened pencils and other daily school supplies that are needed.

IMPORTANT

If the children bring a reading book home to read to you during the week, please make sure he or she brings it back to class the next day.  ThanksSurprised
