Description
The goal of this class is to produce a printed yearbook for the school. Students will be taught how to use Adobe Indesign to create layouts. Additionally, they will be taught basic photography techniques, file handling, basic Photoshop, reporting techniques. And advertising.

Participation
Students should come to class ready to learn. They should actively participate in class discussions and projects. Students will be graded daily on their participation. The grade will be posted weekly on PowerSchool.
Layouts, Photo Manipulation
Every student will be required to create numerous layouts for the yearbook. They will be graded on style, completeness, writing, and deadlines. Photos used in the layouts should be cropped, color adjusted, and linked correctly to each layout.
Deadlines
Meeting deadlines is crucial in this class. We will be working as a team to get the yearbook completed. It’s essential that you stay up with your phot shoot assignments and layouts.
Photo Assignments
Students will be assigned various photo shoots. Most of these assignments will be outside of class time. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain equipment needed for their assignment and upload their photos in a timely matter.
Absences / Late Work
Students are responsible for all work missed during any absences. Students may need to make up work during lunch, before or after school, when their computer is available. Following the school's absence policy, students who are absent more than 10 times during the quarter will be withdrawn from the class.
