General Summer School Information
Class starts promptly at 7:30 and we dismiss at 12:40. Snack is between 9:55 and 10:10. Every day of summer school is approximately 10 days of school. For this reason each student will be spending between 2-5 hours on homework daily. We are attempting to cover over 200 days of instructional time in 24 days!
No more than three absences (excused or unexcused) are allow in summer school. Any amount of class time missed in one day is counted as an absence (even if it is only one hour!). Three tardies is equivalent to one absence. This includes being tardy at the 7:30 session or the 10:15 session. It is possible for a student to be tardy twice in one day.
First semester will conclude on July 10. Second semester begins on July 14 and concludes on July 31.
Students are to come to class daily with all their supplies. This includes a covered book, a highlighter, a green pen (I provided the first one), paper, pencils, eraser and completed homework.
No late work is accepted. If absent one day, two day's worth of homework is due upon returning to class. There is no extra time to make up work due to an absence.
No electronic devices (phones, ipods, mp3 players, game systems, etc) may be used during the school day (7 am to 12:40 pm) on the school campus. These devices must be turned off and put away.
