Mini-Projects- 1^st Nine Weeks

Due Dates for Mini-Projects: 

Book #1 - 10/9 

Book #2 -  10/23

 You can turn in mini-projects as soon as you finish the book.  However, I must receive the mini-project by the due dates listed above or it is considered late.

Choose 2 projects below to complete this Nine Weeks.  You must complete one Book Share each Nine Weeks.

1. Word Poem- Using wordle.net, choose 15 words that represent your book in a nutshell.  On the back of the word poem write one sentence for each word explaining why it is relevant and is a good example of your chosen book.
2. Plot Timeline- Create a timeline of 10 events that are significant in your book.  Draw a symbol and write a brief explanation for each event.  Good/positive events should be featured on the top, bad/negative events should be featured on the bottom.
3. Book Share- Follow the guidelines on the hand out to present the book to the class.
4. Symbols In a Bag -Find a symbol that represents EACH of the following, for a total of 5 symbols: 1: Character 2: Theme  3: Conflict  4: Setting  5: Climax.  Attached to each symbol/object, include a statement explaining HOW that symbol represents each of the 5 literary categories above. Place all the symbols in a Ziploc or paper bag, along with their attached explanation statements.
