Hello, and welcome to my page! My name is Holly Sparks, and I have taught at Bayou View Elementary for three years. My husband, Shawn, and I live in Gulfport with our two very spoiled dogs, Honey and Saki.

While I do live in Gulfport, I am not originally from the MS Gulf Coast. I was a Navy brat, and most of my childhood years were spent in the Atlanta area. However, I did also spend some of my early years in Virginia, California, Louisiana, and Maryland. After high school, I headed off to college as a pre-pharmacy major. Even though that idea never panned out, I continued to have a passion for science. So, I decided to go back to school so that I could teach science. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, and I currently hold endorsements in science, math, and reading.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the movies, traveling, and spending time with my husband and dogs. During the fall, I enjoy watching college and professional football. My husband and I are fans of the Georgia Bulldogs, and we try to attend games when possible. We also love to watch the Atlanta Braves play, and we try to attend games when we go home to visit family.

I am so very excited to have another school year upon us! I am looking forward to teaching science to all of our fine 5th grade students, and I cannot wait to see what we learn together!
