Just a reminder...we are beginning to run low on snacks for the students. We continue to appreciate any donations that you are able to provide. Thank you in advance for all of your support.

This is just a reminder that on Monday, November 5th, report cards will be sent home. Please review these grades with your child and sign and return the report card on the following day. Thanks for all of your help!

This Friday (Oct. 19), your child will be bringing home a tan paper from the School Board of Alachua County. Please ask your child for this letter. This letter notes any learning deficiencies that your child may have, based on past assessments. In order to meet the needs of your child, the establishment of an Academic Improvement Plan may be necessary. We will be scheduling parent conferences to develop these plans in the near future.

Starting this Friday (October 5, 2007), we will no longer be sending home weekly fluency sheets. Instead, fluency practice will be completed in class during reading time using passages from our weekly stories.

Each month, we will write a newsletter to share what students have been and will be learning in our classroom. Please view this website so that you can stay informed about the curriculum and help your child practice the concepts that we are learning. You can view our most recent newsletter in the "Classroom News" section.

Be on the look out for interim progress reports that will be sent home on Tuesday, September 25th. After reviewing your child's progress, please have your child return a signed copy on the following day.

Please remember to take a look at your child's homework folder for weekly homework, graded work, and important letters, then remove these items and return the folder on the following Friday. We have been missing quite a few folders each week. Let's try to have 100% of the folders returned next week! Thank you for all of your help. Have a great weekend!

Please remember that if you wish for your child to change the way that they get home (for example: they will be walking instead of riding the bus) then you MUST either send a note or call the school before dismissal (955-6706). We CANNOT allow your child to leave differently if you have not contacted the school. Thank you for all your help.
