Hale County High School

The Hale County High School continuous improvement plan has been uploaded to the files section of the website. This plan addresses system and school needs and provides actions to be taken for improvement in the areas of need. Parents are encouraged to review this plan and make any suggestions for the next year's plan at the school.

EARLY COLLEGE — This summer, the University will pilot UA Early College, its newest program for high school students who want to earn college credit, save on tuition and work toward automatic admission to the University. The program is designed for high school juniors and seniors who have at least a 3.0 grade point average and a recommendation from their high school counselor, principal or home school agent. Freshman-level courses are taught online, and students are mentored during the program. Students can earn up to 30 hours of college credit that is accepted at all public colleges and universities in Alabama. A one-day orientation for rising juniors and seniors and their parents will be held Saturday, July 11, from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bryant Conference Center. Dependents of UA employees who qualify for the tuition benefit receive half-price tuition plus the Early College scholarship. Students wishing to enroll at Hale County High School must present the following items:

1.  Proof of residence in the Hale County school zone

2.  Immunization Certificate and proof of 2nd MMR

3.  Social Security Card

4.  Transcript of grades from previous school

5.  Certified Birth Certificate
