Announcements for October 25, 2010
- Students, trash is being left all over the school following break. If this continues we will have to stay in class instead of having break. Please help by throwing away all trash each day.
- Progress Reports will be given out on November 3, 2010. This is a change from a previous announcement.
- The Positive Behavior Support Program will be rewarding at 5 prizes midsemester (November 9th). The large prize for this drawing will be a Kodak EasyShare M530 digital camera. Winners must know the meaning of the three R’s in the PBS program. During the week of Nov. 1st – 5th the focus of PBS will be getting to class on time.
- This week is Red Ribbon Week. In order to observe the week in an amusing way, we will participate in the following dress up days:
- Monday - Stomp out drugs! - Students should wear boots of all kinds to school this day.
- Tuesday - Fight Against Drugs - Students should wear super-hero paraphernalia this day.
- Wednesday - Out-class drugs - Students should dress in their finest apparel this day.
- Thursday - "Wite-out" drugs - Students should wear as much white as possible this day.
- Friday - Drug-free: The way to be! - Students should wear as much red as possible this day and wear a drug-free sticker all day.
- Students should turn in any submissions of poetry, art, or photography to Ms. Randall that they would like published in the school literary magazine, “Cosmos”.
- All ELLES members should stop by Mrs. Maddox's room to pick up this year's schedule of events on Monday, Oct. 24, 2010.
- The Annual Fall Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 from 9:00 am-3:00 p.m. Any student who wishes to give blood should sign up with Mrs. Maddox starting on Mon., Oct. 24, 2010. Any student who is 16 should have a parental consent formed signed and returned to Mrs. Maddox BEFORE the blood drive begins as well as a valid picture I.D. . Any student 17 and up should simply bring a valid picture I.D.
- Reading and Language remediation for seniors started Thursday, October 21. Teachers and students have a copy of the schedules that should be followed each day.
- The next edition of Hale Highlights will be for sale Tuesday, October 26 for 25 cents. Students and teachers should send articles and creative writing submissions to Mrs. Pearson's email or box by Friday, October 22.
10. The varsity football team will play at home versus Dadeville on Friday night. Game time is 7pm.
11. HCHS Wildcats T-shirts are on sale in the library. Please see Mrs. Pearson to order yours.
