2008-2009 School Year

Late Work Policy:

  • The homework policy is "full-half-none." Full credit will be given if the homework is turned in on time.  If the homework is submitted the day after it is due, a maximum of half credit will be given.  After that date, late homework will NOT be accepted.
  • With the exception of absent students, late classwork will not be accepted.  Students who are present during class must complete their work along with everyone else.
  • Points will be deducted from late papers and projects as well.

 Grading Policy:

  • Grades will be calculated using the "total points" system, simply by dividing earned points by the total possible points.
  • Tests, projects, and written reports will be worth more points than homework and classwork.

Supplies:

  • Students are required to come prepared to learn every day.  Each day, students must  bring their reading notebook, binder, and a writing utensil.
  • Each student has been provided with an agenda book; this must travel with the students all day long.  It is their pass and their homework book. (For a complete list of school rules and policies, see the front section of  your child's agenda book.)

Late to class policy:

  • 1st time= warning
  • 2nd time= teacher assigned detention
  • 3rd time= office referral (2 detentions), phone call/email home
  • 4th time= office referral (Friday school)
  • This late to class policy is school-wide and is on a semester basis.
