The history ofAmericais a fascinating one, full of paradoxes, unexpected twists and turns, and poignant stories that resonate in our present. I am very excited to be accompanying you on this journey, and I know that it will be a rewarding one for all of us.
As you probably already know, the workload for AP US History is considerable. Staying on top of reading assignments will help enormously in preparing you for coursework, quizzes and tests. I will be there to help with any concerns or difficulties during the course of the year. You are not on your own. All I require from you is a genuine commitment to do your best.
All textbook readings will be supplemented by additional essays and primary sources which will help you to build a complex and multi-faceted narrative ofUShistory, much as a professional historian would.
