My story
I come to Alston Middle School after teaching for a year in Myrtle Beach. Before that, I lived in Los Angeles for 15 years working as an actor/writer/producer and various jobs in film production. I graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and am currently in the PACE program to become a fully certified teacher. I have performed in many stage productions as well as some films, TV shows, and commercials.
I was raised in South Carolina and graduated from Irmo High School in 1987. After 15 years in L.A., I decided to return to my roots and join the path much of my family has chosen - education. My dad was president of Coastal Carolina University for 15 years and my mom held many jobs in SC schools from teacher to principal to curriculum specialist. I am very excited to be teaching at Alston and am very happy to be here!
