Advanced Science
Week 30 ~ April 6 -10
Advanced ScienceMonday: Assessment; students will show mastery of chapter 15 vocabulary. Students will also review for the moon phases test.
Tuesday: Assessment; students will show mastery of the moon phases.
Wednesday: ACTAAP REVIEW; students will investigate global patterns of water currents influence on local weather, compare and contrast different landforms on the earth, investigate careers in physical, earth, and life science. (E.S. 8.8.2, 8.8.3, 8.8.11)
Thursday: ACTAAP REVIEW: Lab; students will synthesize and model deposition, erosion, weathering, and crustal deformation. They will also predict changes when variables such as slope, water volume, or the composition of a stream bed are changed through erosion or deposition. (E. S. 8.8.4, 8.8.9)
Friday: Lab; students will see an illustration of a soil profile, compare it to local samples, identify the components of soil as organic v. inorganic, and identify the basic nutrients needed by all plants. (E. S. 8.8.13, 8.8.14, 8.8.16, 8.8.17.)
