I have worked as a Child Development Counselor in the Cecil County Public Schools since 1990. Prior to working in Cecil County I was a Special Education Teacher in Pennsylvania. I currently have a Masters Degree in Counseling from Millersville University. I am also working on my Administrative Certificate.
My husbands name is Gary and he currently works as the Parts Manager at Atlantic Tractor in Oxford PA. We have been married for over 20 years and have been able to travel extensively thanks to the Agricultural Industry. Hawaii is one of my favorite places to visit.
My daughter Amy is a 2006 graduate of Perryville High School. She attended Cecil College for 2 years and hopes to attend Towson in the Spring of 2009 to pursue a career in journalism. She is currently working full time and is saving money for school while continuing to find herself.
My son Kevin is a Senior at Rising Sun High and will graduate in June 2009. He is currently attending on a senior waiver where he attends High school in the morning and Cecil College in the afternoon. He has been taking pictures since the 5th grade and has entered pictures in the Media Festival every year since its inception. He is hoping to transfer to Antonelli Institute in Pennsylvania to pursue a photography career.
Buttercup, my dog is a Beagle, Bassett, Jack Russell mix. She is my most loyal companion and would be by my side 24/7 if it was possible. Now she just settles for the reward of Watermelon and Ice Cream on occassion.
Midnight, the family cat is very independent and will only engage in social contact when she wants a treat or feels the need to be petted.
My extended family consists of the friends of Amy and Kevin that consider our house their home too. To them I am proud to be known as Mama Reed. They know they are always welcome and can usually find cookies or some type of baked good or candy to satisfy their never ending hunger pangs.
