Welcome to Honors English 11. This semester we will be studying American Literature, including short stories, drama, poetry, nonfiction, and essays. We will be reading works by Benjamin Franklin, Edgar A. Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Ernest Hemingway, Robert Frost, and others. Our studies will also cover grammar, composition, and vocabulary. I look forward to a successful and interesting semester with each of you!
In order for us to work well together there are certain expectations I have of you. They are simple and few:
1. You will bring your notebook, pencil, pen, and textbook with you to class unless told otherwise by the teacher.
2. You will be in your seat ready to begin class when the tardy bell rings.
3. You will be courteous to each other and to the teacher.
4. You will punctually do all assignments to the very best of your ability.
5. You will follow the code of conduct and dress for
You only need to buy a few materials for this class:
A supply of #2 pencils with erasers.
A blue or black ink pen.
A three-ring binder notebook with loose-leaf paper.

All eleventh grade final exams consist of the Georgia End of Course Test. If you or your parents have any questions about grades, please feel free to talk to me. My planning period is third block, from
Again, I look forward to working with you. I hope you share the pride I have in our school facility and resolve to take care of it. Please be involved in school activities and get the most out of your high school career.
